JOIN US FOR TWO UPCOMING EVENTS – THEATRE AND ART
‘DEAD GUILTY’, WOKINGHAM THEATRE – SEPTEMBER 3RD 2025
How do you fancy a night at the theatre with your ticket money not only buying you a seat for the play but also directly supporting A4W’s funds? This incredible offer has been made available to us by Wokingham Theatre. They have given us all the seats in their 161 seat auditorium for the first play in their new 2025 autumn season, ‘Dead Guilty’.
The play is a revenge thriller in which a man’s death at the wheel of a car has consequences that could never have been anticipated. His wife stumbles upon an undisclosed affair and there follows an intriguing drama of conceit and obsession. Our charity performance and staging of the play will take place at 7.45pm on 3rd September 2025. The bar will be open from 7pm to allow a bit of mingling with friends and family. There will be a raffle and a few surprise guests, too. We hope that this special charity fundraiser will be a very informal, enjoyable and social event.
So, by buying tickets, theatregoers will be able to enjoy live theatre in the knowledge that all of their ticket money is going directly into A4W’s funds to generate and promote more public art across the borough of Wokingham. We need a full house on the night if we are to make the most of this special opportunity. Your support can help us to achieve these goals. As of now tickets are still available. Why not get together with family and friends and make a night of it? ART – THE WOKINGHAM ARTS TRAIL – SEPTEMBER 20TH & 21ST 2025
The annual Wokingham Arts Trail is an event much anticipated and enjoyed by art lovers and thousands of enthusiastic Wokingham residents every year. Various venues in and around the town and wider borough will be hosting, artworks, ceramics, jewellery and more as dedicated visitors select their preferred locations to visit. The trail will be open on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September.
For the second year running, Arts4Wokingham has linked up with another local charity to explore and produce artwork on a shared theme. This year A4W has initiated a project with WADE (Wokingham and District Association for the Elderly) and a number of the borough’s younger residents. This blend of youngsters and senior folk have been working on the theme of Animal Magic. You can see the fruits of their efforts in one of the town’s little known galleries, Old Kiln Yard. It’s a gem of a venue, tucked away in a discreet setting just across the road from Wokingham’s distinctive Terrace. Apart from the animal themed offerings, the gallery will also be featuring a range of ceramics, paintings and jewellery. Do make a point of designating old Kiln Yard as one of your must see locations. You won’t be disappointed.
