SHARE YOUR STORY

See your words etched in memory

A new public art installation, The Arc, has been commissioned by Arts4Wokingham for Wokingham Borough, and artist Nicola Anthony is keen to involve the local community throughout the creative process.

The Arc will be a physical poem about you, the people of Wokingham, and the final design’s incorporated text will be the subject of ongoing community consultation. Themed around ‘experiencing each moment’, the poem will emphasise well-being and the discovery of moments of joy.

How can you leave your mark on Wokingham?

Add your own story to the project by participating in our workshops, or sharing your story in Nicola’s anonymous portal.

Community Consultations

As part of her initiative to involve the community, sculptor Nicola Anthony is running a series of creative workshops for local residents. These sessions will teach pattern making and drawing, how to be more creative in day to day life, and allow for meeting the artist behind the upcoming public sculpture

Nicola also invites you to share your stories, thoughts and memories to form part of the Arc’s poetical narrative. Anyone who wants their story told is welcome to share it during sessions, or anonymously afterwards. After attending one of Nicola’s workshops, you are invited to join an exclusive monthly creative-prompt group to continue your creative journey.
