WHO WE ARE

Our charity is run entirely by volunteers, who work alongside our Board of Trustees to ensure the success of our mission to make public arts and culture more accessible. Meet the faces behind Art4Wokingham, who are fighting for more access to public art on behalf of Wokingham Borough.

Charlotte Haitham Taylor

CHAIR

Charlotte started her art career at Sotheby’s auctioneers and the prominent London dealer Richard Green. A Fine Art graduate, Charlotte is a professional artist who also collects modern and contemporary art and photography. Charlotte is the former Leader of Wokingham Borough Council. During her 11 years at the Council, she oversaw the £120 million regeneration scheme of Wokingham Town Centre.

Robin Cops

VICE CHAIR

Robin has lived in Wokingham for 40 years. He has held several roles in the community including chairing Bracknell & Wokingham College Corporation and the WBC Independent Remuneration Panel, as well as a local Justice of the Peace. He is currently Programme Secretary of The Arts Society Wokingham and is a strong advocate for the inclusion of art in public spaces, believing that it has the power to enrich and enliven the community.

David Canning

TREASURER

David began his career as a civil engineer, where he was lucky enough to work on some of the largest international projects, which allowed him to indulge his passion for history and art around the world. On finally retiring, he became more involved in the local community, continuing to work as a community mediator and treasurer of The Arts Society Wokingham, alongside his role as Treasurer for Arts4Wokingham.

Tim Lloyd

SECRETARY

Our resident graphic designer, Tim is a retired Industrial Designer with a keen interest in modern art. Tim also serves as a trustee of the Berkshire Archaeological Society, where he shares his passion for history and archaeology with others. He is also the chair of Friends of Fox Hill, an organisation dedicated to preserving and enhancing the local natural environment. In his free time, Tim indulges his creative side through painting and Morris dancing.

Jeremy's professional background is in contemporary and old master paintings and sculpture. He was previously director of Mallett and main board international director of Pearl Lam Galleries in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore. In 2010, he founded Duxbury Advisory, an art advisory company based in London that provides guidance on the acquisition, sales, and conservation of works of art, as well as collection management. Jeremy is also an esteemed Trustee of the Holburne Museum in Bath and serves as an advisor for the KT Wong Foundation.

Jeremy Garfield-Davies

Martin has lived in Wokingham for more than 40 years and he worked as a family doctor in the town for 30 years, so is long familiar with the incredible people and communities that are  the makeup of Wokingham Borough. He has a longstanding love and enthusiasm for both visual and literary art.

Paddy Haycocks

COMMUNICATIONS

Paddy Haycocks is a broadcaster, probably best known to local people as presenter of BBC One’s ‘South Today’ in the 90’s and BBC Two’s ‘The Travel Show’. For the past four decades he has worked as a producer, director and reporter on a wide range of factual programming for all major broadcasters and has always maintained a keen interest in the arts. He can often be found behind and in front of a camera on behalf of A4W.

Carrollanne is an intellectual property attorney with an interest in assisting aspiring artists, and has a non-traditional pathway into the arts, as she has represented various known graffiti artists. This, alongside her passion for creativity, makes her the perfect addition to our Board.

Carrollanne Lindley

Karen has spent over 30 years in Financial Services Marketing which has helped to fund her love of buying modern and contemporary art.

In her spare time Karen enjoys immersing herself in many art forms likes dance classes, theatre & gallery visits!   

Karen has lived in Wokingham for over 20 years with her family and is also a trustee for Wade where she is currently looking at art for dementia

Jasmine Stanford

WEBSITE

Day-to-day management of our website is run by Jaz, a Fine Art graduate from Goldsmiths University, with a Masters in Healthcare and Design from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College. She has her own international business creating masks for hearing aid and glass users, as well as working full time as a Consultant. She is motivated by helping others and creating positive change, with a strong focus on inclusion and wellbeing.

Jo Wyles

SOCIAL MEDIA

Our online presence is run by Jo, who lives in Lower Earley with her husband and teenage son. Due to health issues Jo is unable to work, but her background in IT and natural passion for the creative arts make her an incredible asset to the A4W team. When not handling our social media Jo can mainly be found in her art room creating mixed media artworks using cardboard boxes, packing paper and over-recycled items.
