WHAT is happening?
Our landmark project aims to locate a significant work of public art by award winning British sculptor, Nicola Anthony. The vision is to create a major permanent artwork in the borough of Wokingham.
WHERE is it all happening?
Wokingham regularly features in surveys highlighting it as one of the top ten places to live in the UK. To further enhance its desirability the town has recently undergone significant regeneration; refining and adding to its already established retail, leisure, business and residential profile.
At the heart of Wokingham’s redevelopment is the new Carnival Hub, a sports, leisure and cultural complex. In addition to the Hub’s appeal as a destination in its own right, the site constitutes a key strategic location with thousands of pedestrians and motorists passing it ‘en route’ to the town centre, heading to and from Wokingham’s railway station or simply journeying in and out as they travel through the area.
This prominent and distinctive site will quickly become a well-recognised, noted and much visited venue.
HOW can I get involved?
In keeping with Wokingham’s level of ambition, the project has set a budget of £200,000 for Nicola Anthony’s landmark work of art. It’s anticipated that funding will come from a mixture of grants, sponsorship and donations.
If you are a major private donors, company or corporate organisation, wishing to publicly declare your enthusiasm and support for this venture, we are offering the opportunity to contribute at one of three levels – Silver, Gold and Platinum. These tiers will reflect the scale of your contribution.
For anyone making a significant donation, we’d be happy to discuss a unique Diamond category with significantly enhanced benefits.
